GEECL(Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited) is laying a 57 km long pipeline from Asansol to Durgapur,the work of which started in the first week of December 2008 and is expected to be completed by mid 2009,this will enable the company to easily supply the fuel to the fuel stations and even to domestic users in future.Durgapur is being connected to Asansol's central gas gathering station.
