Soon, Durgapur is going to have Pre Paid Taxi Service,this is for the first time outside Kolkata any city in West Bengal can boast of such a service.Durgapur station would be having a pre paid booth for collecting tickets and the fares would be determined from that centre for different parts of the city and now onwards taxi drivers cannot ask for arbitrary fares from passengers.Service would be starting in another 2 months.
