SBSTC(South Bengal State Transport Corporation) which is headquartered in Durgapur is thinking to work out an integrated fleet management system that is fuel-efficient
and be rewarded in cash for going green.
On the other side WBPCB(West Bengal Pollution Control Board) is advising the sponge iron units on how they can generate energy from waste heat.

It is commendable about thinking green. But before that Transport Body should think about the transport system of whole DURGAPUR industrial Belt which has increased leaps & bounds during last 50 years. I am a witness along with so many citizen Durgapur.
I would suggest to open a suggestion system in different Depot of SBSTC particularly at CITY CENTER.
I would like to suggest one point on which authorities should pay serious attention. Last decade has seen many employees from different industries haave retired and settled at different area Majorities are from DSP & ASP settled in Bidhan nagar ARA, Amarabati area have no direct connection to DSP Main Hospital which they have to go often & on.
Now it is seen that New Low floor Buses have been introduced in 8B Route. It is suggested this buses may be allowed to run in a reorganised route such as Start from Durgapur Station covering 8B Route upto SEPCO Junction with NEHRU AVE then take take a route of D rout of MINI BUS terminate at Main Hospital Durgapur. This will be economic Profit Making Route for SBSTC and benificial to user.
